Biography

RIVERA-Carlos A. Rivera, age 76 of Norwalk, died Sunday March 18, 2012 in Springfield, Ma. Mr. Rivera was born December 17, 1935 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico to the late Felix and Ricarda Santiago- Rivera. He was a retired Supervisor for the Dooney & Bourke Company. Carlos will be remembered for his huge heart and generosity to family and friends, he was an avid Mets fan.

He was predeceased by his wife, Ramonita Rivera who passed in 1994. Survivors include six children; Lizzette Perez, of Chicago, Carmen E. Rivera and Carlos J. Rivera both of Puerto Rico, Jose Rivera of PA., Carlos A. Rivera and Jessica Rivera both of Norwalk; two brothers, Adolfo Rivera of NJ., Asbel Rivera of ME,; two sisters, Celia Cruzsantiago and Luz E. Fernadez, both of Puerto Rico; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Friday March 23, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. in the Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk. and 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 5 South Main St. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, Norwalk. Friends are invited to greet the family on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
