Hans Romaine, Wilton resident passed away in his home on February 06, 2012. Hans was born in Hamburg, Germany on January 12, 1922 and became a U.S. citizen in 1929.. He is survived by his wife, Lillian Romaine of Wilton, CT. Hans was a World War II veteran and served in the U.S. Army as a Staff Sergeant. He was employed as a Tax Adjudicator for the State Of Connecticut and his passion was Ballroom Dancing.

For over thirty five years Hans had the role as parent, grandparent and great grandparent, respectively, for Julia Arvan of Milford, CT, Lori Kaine of Wilton, CT husband Ken Kaine, children Jason Risola, Nicholas Risola and Alexsis Kaine, Steven Arvan of Stamford, CT wife Michelle Arvan, children Zoe Arvan and Haley Arvan , Carissa McMahon of Ridgefield CT husband Bill McMahon and Zachary Arvan of Milford,CT.

Military Honors will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 11:30 AM in Norwalk’s Hoyt Cognetta Funeral Home and Crematory, 5 East Wall Street, Norwalk, CT Friends may visit from 10:00 Am to 11:30 Am. The Interment will be in Pinelawn Cemetery, Farmingdale, LI, NY and will be private.
