NORWALK, CONN


David E. Fuhrman, 68 of Norwalk passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 5, 2011.

Born in Port Chester, NY on October 5, 1943, Dave was the son of the late Harry & Elfriede (Fritzie) Fuhrman. He attended local schools, and was a graduate of Norwalk High School. He served his Country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Air Force. He and his wife Sharon (Bertrum), who survives him, had recently celebrated 49 years of marriage.

A long time professional driver, he was an employee of Modern Gas of Greenwich, CT and a member of The International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Among his favorite past times were being an active and longtime volunteer for The Norwalk High School Marching Bears, for many years he drove a coach bus for them on all their travels around the country. Dave also was a big fan of the Bethel Bobcats football team where he got great joy in watching his grandson Max play.

His family was very dear to him, two sisters, Kathleen Pagnano & late husband John, and Pamela Gorgone & husband Jack. Also surviving him are his children, Jamie Rudolf McKamy, David Fuhrman, and Jennifer Vitiello & husband Nick.

In addition, his four grandchildren who he adored, David Rudolf, Maxwell McKamy, and Wyatt & Stella Vitiello, will very dearly miss him.

There are no calling hours. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2011 at 6:00PM in the Laurel Athletic Club 13 North Avenue Norwalk CT.
