Life Legacy
NORWALK, CONN
Jean Truppi, 90 and a resident of Norwalk for 54 years, passed away peacefully at her home with family on Monday, May 23, 20ll.
Jean was born on October 30, 1920, in Summit, New Jersey and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Delasso. She is predeceased by her husband Otto, son-in-laws David Rhoads and Ronald Barnhart, four brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her four daughters, Ruth Rhoads, Barbara Bartek and husband Wayne of Norwalk, Kathy Frascino of Wilton and Janice Barnhart of Lauderhill Florida. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Robin Hayes, Debra and husband Shawn Horton, Missy and husband Mark Hargrove, Amy Bartek, Michael and Ashley Frascino and four great grandchildren, Amanda, Timothy, Toni, and Samantha Horton.
Jean’s family will receive friends at Norwalk’s Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street on Thursday, May 26, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Her funeral will be held at 9:30AM on Friday, May 27, 2011 from the parlor, when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 203 East Avenue, Norwalk, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00AM. The Rev. Robert J. Crofut will officiate. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Fl, New York, New York 10001.
