Life Legacy
NORWALK, CONN
Robert Earl Franklin of Norwalk departed this earthly realm on June 23rd, 2010 at 6:55pm during his brief stay at The Connecticut Hospice of Branford CT.
Robert Earl Franklin was born on February 21st, 1956, in Pelham (Mitchell County) Georgia, to James Franklin and Juanita Duncan (Thomas).
He was a longtime loyal employee of Shaw’s Super Market, before his illness. His famous words to his daily customers were: “I’M NOT OK, UNLESS YOU’RE OK”.
In addition to his parents, Robert leaves to cherish his memory two children; Juanita (Franklin) McGowan and son-in-law Michael McGowan of Atlanta Georgia and Zachary Franklin of Argentina, South America; two brothers Warnell Franklin of Pompano Beach, Florida and Russell Duncan of Bridgeport CT; one sister Alfreda (Franklin) Wilson of Jacksonville, Florida; two grandsons Caleb and Silas McGowan; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins to also cherish his memory. He will be missed by all.
Robert’s family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 in Norwalk's Hoyt-Cognetta Funeral Home & Crematory, 5 East Wall Street from 2:00PM - 5:00PM. His funeral will be held in the parlor at the conclusion of calling hours, 5:00PM. Following cremation, interment will follow at the convenience of the family.
